Both the Search Committee and the College Council have completed their responsibilities in the Presidential Search process, and the names of the candidates they deemed acceptable have been forwarded to the Chancellor. Next, the Chancellor and members of her senior leadership team will interview the finalists and they will make a presentation to SUNY leadership. The Chancellor will recommend a final candidate to a subcommittee of the SUNY Board of Trustees who will then appoint the recommended candidate. Once this process is completed, the Board of Trustees will appoint the new president at a board meeting and the announcement of the new president will be made jointly by the SUNY Chancellor and SUNY New Paltz. As a thank you for being a friend of SUNY New Paltz, we want to make it easier for our community to find peace of mind and protect what they love. One easy way to do just that is to write a legal will — nearly 70% of American adults don’t have one, but it’s an essential task to plan for the future and protect the people and causes they care about. Use this free will-writing tool to get started in 20 minutes or less, at no personal cost.
