Did you know… that the newly renovated Wooster Building is designed so that at solar noon of the Summer Solstice, the sunlight falls on the top of the new monumental staircase? During the winter solstice, the midday sun falls on the bottom stair.
The original Wooster Building was brutalist concrete building with little light. The new building will be filled with natural sunlight on all levels of the three-floor building. In some areas of the building, glass openings transfer light between floors. In other areas of the building, translucent flooring allows light to move between the floors.
