AMP & CSTEP Community
The AC2 (AMP & CSTEP Community) Program at SUNY New Paltz promotes academic excellence and provides preparation, resources, and opportunities critical to student success. The goal of the AC² Program is to increase the number of students from historically underrepresented and low-income backgrounds pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and health-related fields.
AC2 offers academic and career support and guidance to eligible students in the following majors:

Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree at New Paltz in a STEM or STEM Education field
- First-Year, Sophomore, or Junior student status
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident or have DACA status
- New York State Resident
- Self-identify as Black, Latinx, Alaskan Native, Native American, OR be income eligible as defined by New York State income guidelines
