LETTER FROM THE DEAN

Dean Laura Barrett

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences thrilled to welcome you to New Paltz! Our College is home to more majors and minors than any other school on campus, plus numerous graduate programs, all taught by accomplished and dedicated faculty in classes small enough to ensure that you have personal interaction with your instructors.

Outside of your classes, we host dozens of events each semester, bringing in speakers to address current issues and enduring questions, and organizing opportunities for new students to meet each other and our successful program alumni.

Find out the interesting and unexpected careers and futures awaiting you as a Liberal Arts & Sciences major on our website. Don’t miss our Liberal Arts in Action section, featuring stories of alumni who are using their LA&S degrees in exciting and unexpected ways.
