Early Alerts
Flags are used by faculty or staff if they have a concern about your academic performance. Flags alert you to concerns so you can be connected to timely coaching support.
Next Steps: Take Action! Reach out to your professor to address their concern. Schedule a meeting with your advisor to develop a plan to get on track with the course.
Kudos are raised by faculty to acknowledge you for a job well done. Got kudos? That's awesome! Let the world know with the hashtag #NPthrive
This is what happens when you receive a Starfish Flag:
You may receive a referral from a faculty or staff member with the contact information for a campus resource. You may also receive a call or email from someone in the office you were referred to for additional assistance with getting in touch.
Make sure to get in touch with the campus resource you have been referred to ASAP. The sooner you get in touch, the sooner you can benefit from their support.
A progress survey allows for the quick collection of faculty feedback about student performance. During the first few weeks of the semester after enrollment closes, your instructors will submit feedback in the form of flags or kudos. The feedback your instructors provide inform students and their advisors about their academic progress at that point in the semester.
