Christopher Daly is currently the 2021-24 David E. Finley Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts, National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. After graduating from New Paltz in 2012 with a BA in art history, he completed an MA in art history at Ohio University (2015) and a PhD in art history at Johns Hopkins University (2023). As an art historian, he specializes in Italian Renaissance painting, primarily the artists and workshops of late 15th-century Tuscany. His research has been supported by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Walters Art Museum and the National Gallery of Art, and has appeared in several international journals including Paragone Arte, Arte Cristiana, the Revue du Louvre, and Colnaghi Studies.
