Rebekah is a two-time graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s in psychology and a Master’s in Humanistic Education and has an additional Master’s from Long Island University in Educational Leadership. She has been teaching Family and Consumer Science for the past 16 years. She was named the 2019 New York State Teacher of the Year for Family and Consumer Science and the 2020 winner of the Dr. Mary Barter Scholarship for Women and Minorities from the New York State Council of School Superintendents. In her free time, she volunteers at her local ambulance corps as an emergency vehicle operator and is the organization's Vice President.
