While being inspired in the classroom is important, there’s no comparison to “learning by doing.” In that spirit, we are happy to announce that the School of Business is launching a new component of our undergraduate experience–the Applied Learning Program.
This program will take many forms, student internships, both local and metro; study abroad experiences, full semester and short term; competitions, conferences, and capstone projects. Both credit bearing and extra-curricular, these opportunities are proven to enhance skill development and employability!
As we launch this exciting program, we are also launching the Applied Learning Support Program. Even though these high impact learning practices are extremely valuable, they sometimes can be out of reach financially for our students and their families. Today I ask for your support so we can offer: Internship stipends to help with travel and living expenses, study abroad support for housing, travel, and living expenses, participation in conferences and competitions around the country.
Gifts of all sizes are critical to the success of our students as they complete their School of Business degree. Your support will allow our students to “do” more! Thank you.
