President's Residence - Renovation
Alterations to this 1966-built house to make it possible for a family with children to live in the two-bedroom residence. Structure is used regularly for college functions. The bulk of the project is a 1,140 square-foot addition
that will provide a third bedroom, a bathroom and a new family room, which will be separate from the formal living area where college functions often occur.
The existing laundry area in the kitchen will also be relocated near the
bedrooms/family area to create needed storage areas.
A new lawn area will be created at the rear of the house.
As a subset of this project, the 30-year-old kitchen cabinetry and countertops will be replaced, the doors
and windows in the breezeway entry will be replaced, and new coat and storage closets will be added in the breezeway.
Other improvements will be made to the existing domestic water circulation and the heating/AC system in the north end of the house.
Work complete.
