The Residence Hall Fire Alarm Upgrade project was awarded to J.J.Sass Electric Corp. in the spring of 2003. In order to keep 11 dormitories occupied and Hasbrouck Dining Hall in service during the academic year, the fire alarm project was phased over three summer breaks: May 25th - August 15th of 2003, 2004 and 2005.
