For the first Thursday after the fall 2020 semester, we're trying a new kind of throwback: Browsing our recent history for pre-pandemic examples of who our community is, and what we are capable of.
We're starting this experiment with a photo taken at the Center for Student Success on Nov. 15, 2019. It's a simple moment - a mentor's excitement at learning that one of their mentees got a good grade on a paper - that says a lot about the value of the Center's peer-to-peer approach to academic support.

Who says you can't launch a new program during a pandemic? The Student Reslience Advocates (@npresilience) began their work this fall and had an immediate impact as a peer-to-peer support network during trying times. The program was established through a unique partnership between the Institute for Disaster Mental Health and the SUNY New Paltz Foundation, and made possible thanks to support from alumnus Ira Schreck ’74 and his wife, Barbara S. Ginsberg. Learn more here.
