Holiday clarification for July 4th
The State has not designated an alternate day of observance for Independence Day in 2020, which falls on a Saturday this year. It is a pass day holiday. This means that the State did not choose either Friday, July 3, or Monday, July 6, to close offices. Employees who work Monday through Friday will be credited with the day, which they can use at a later date (with supervisory approval).
All eligible full-time employees with Attendance Rules coverage are entitled to 12 holidays a year. For classified service employees in the Executive branch of State service who work Monday through Friday with Saturday and Sunday off, Saturday, July 4, 2020, will be observed as a pass day holiday and those eligible employees will earn 7.5 or 8 hours of holiday leave to be used at another time, subject to supervisory approval.
For CSEA employees in the ASU, OSU or DMNA bargaining unit, holiday leave not used one year after the date it is earned expires. Employees in the CSEA ISU, PS&T, RRSU, and M/C bargaining units should be given reasonable opportunity to exhaust holiday leave prior to separation.

We'd like to take time this summer to spotlight individual projects and give this exceptional scholarship and creative work its due.

"Sampling content from trash to treasure, these playful objects are unpretentious and subversive. Exploring the surreal through engineering and illusion, these antics of adornment confound expectations. In celebration of our collective progress, I leverage industrial materials and manufacturing processes to anchor the work firmly within the present. Through mashups of contrasting realities and exploration of randomness, I articulate this strange new digital world. Staging collisions between vastly different references of time, scale and subject matter, an underlying unity can be found among the debris of shape and memory."
