Sojourner Truth Library staff are curating virtual book displays featuring hand-picked ebooks, streaming films, free podcasts and physical books that can be requested for curbside pickup. Each month brings a new, themed selection of virtual book displays. For September, the Library is focusing on revolutions from world history.
Have ideas for books or other materials we should feature in this space? Interested in guest-curating the display for an upcoming month? The Library would love to hear from you! Contact Chrissy O’Grady, research & education librarian, at ogradyc@newpaltz.edu to begin the conversation.

Will the College deploy special cleaning of rooms on campus where positive case exposures may have occurred?
Classrooms and other spaces are cleaned and disinfected daily. In the event a space has not been cleaned and disinfected since the time of exposure, the Office of Emergency Management will direct that the space be secured through our electronic access control, placarded to prevent unwanted entry, and cleaned and disinfected after 24 hours of closure.
Upon completion, the space will be permitted to be re-occupied. If seven days have passed since the positive case was last in a given space, additional cleaning and disinfecting will not be required, per current CDC guidance.

The College's fall 2020 reopening plan is highly detailed and dense, and our corresponding list of FAQs runs to more than 10,000 words (and counting!). In an effort to make this very important information more digestible for campus community members, we're highlighting questions and answers in this newsletter, one per day, as the fall semester approaches.
Please note: We are working to update and add FAQs as planning continues and this situation evolves. We will prioritize sharing the most current information in this space.
