Coronavirus updates

SUNY New Paltz is a COVID-19 Vaccination POD for registered students only
The College has received a limited supply of J&J vaccines and will begin administering them on campus today; All appointments are currently booked, but we expect to receive more doses in the coming weeks; Priority will be given to students who live on campus

If you make an appointment to get the vaccine, you must fill out the state's vaccine form
New York uses this form to ensure the vaccine is being delivered equitably

Weekly COVID-19 testing information and resources
Pool testing available on a walk-in basis, Monday - Thursday
Friday PCR testing is appointment-only with no same-day sign-ups

College planning a series of smaller, in-person Commencement ceremonies
New safety policies, including no guests, will be in place to make in-person celebrations possible; Plans subject to change based on COVID-19 numbers or health guidance

Cross this off your to-do list and be ready to join the celebration!

New York restores $600 million in general salary increases for state workers
Workers had not received contractual raises during the COVID-19 pandemic

SUNYAC Presidents reaffirm no-spectator policy at all home varsity contests
Although the State of New York has updated guidance to allow for spectators, the SUNY Athletic Conference will prioritize safety and not admit spectators at any contests this spring

One more day! Submit your Student Research Symposium abstract by April 9
Our spring semester tradition will be held virtually this year on April 30

New Paltz Sculpture program on Instagram
There's a really compelling student takeover happening now over on the Sculpture Program's Instagram account (@npsculpture).
MFA candidate Courtney Haeick '21g (Studio Art) is showcasing work at the intersection of metal, sculpture, performance and dance. Follow her for more @courtneyhaeick.
Haeick is featured in the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum exhibition, "The Vision of Care," open April 9 - May 23. More info @waamart.
