Coronavirus updates

New today on your my.newpaltz COVID-19 profile: A voluntary option to submit vaccination info
Those who choose to share will be helping the College better understand what percentage of our community is vaccinated, for reporting to SUNY and to inform fall planning

New York to adopt new CDC guidance on mask use for fully vaccinated people
State will ease expectations on outdoor mask use two weeks after final vaccine dose
Masks should still be worn indoors and by anyone who isn't fully vaccinated

Weekly COVID-19 testing requirement in effect through end of semester
On-campus testing available through May 13 with a modified schedule

Questionable Authorities
I guess we know what will be on the album cover!
Questionable Authorities is planning a day-after-classes-end party with their first in-person show since the pandemic began, Friday, April 30, at noon, live on-campus from the Wooster Hall balcony overlooking the Old Main Quad. Come out for some classic rock and punk covers, socially distant outdoor dancing and positive vibes all around!

A special treat this week from the John R. Kirk Planetarium's virtual astronomy series: A guided tour of the springtime sky available in both Spanish and English.
Zoe Perles '21 (Spanish) minors in Astronomy and pulled double duty recording two separate presentations, both exploring how cultures other than the Greeks and Romans drew constellations and interpreted the night sky.
