List of weekly groups offered through the DRC

Art Therapy

Meets on Wednesdays from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

Our weekly open studio art therapy groups are offered in a supportive environment where students are invited to use creative expression as a tool for stress reduction, social connection, and wellness. No prior art experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. For more information on our Art Therapy program, see the link below.

Art Therapy Room Information

Walk and Talk

Meets on Thursdays from 12:30-1:00pm and Fridays from 1:00pm to 1:30pm. The group will meet in the HAB lobby before departing.

The DRC hosts a biweekly Walk and Talk Program that allows students to casually build their social networks while also getting fresh air and exercise. Students will walk around campus with a walking leader from our staff for around 30 minutes.

College Connections

Meets on Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00pm in HAB 204

A group for students on the Autism Spectrum to share experiences and develop community.

ADHD Minds: Building Strong Study Skills for Success

Meets on Mondays from 3:30-4:15pm in HAB 203
A supportive and inclusive space for college students with ADHD and Learning Disabilities to learn tailored study skills, have peer support, and be a part of a community that understands your unique needs. 

Exploring Writing

Meets on Thursdays from 2:30-3:15pm in HAB 203

Whether you're a creative writer or find peace through journaling, this is the expressive group for you! No prior creative writing experience necessary.

Game Hour

The first Wednesday of every month: Oct 2nd, November 5th and December 4th from 2:00pm-3:00pm in HAB 203

Come hang out, play board games, and enjoy other engaging activities while making connections with fellow students. All are welcome!

Workshop Series

Twice a month on Wednesdays. Topics include helpful information from other offices and professions, including our campus dietitian, Academic Advising, and the Center for Student Success. Additional workshops cover topics related to disability awareness on campus.
Campus Dietitian Info Session

Meet with Kelly Pearson, our campus dietitian, to learn more about meals offered on campus and practice a simple recipe.
Social and Social Justice Models
September 25th, 2024
2:00-3:00pm HAB 210
Join us as we discuss new ways to view disability, including the social and social justice models. Light refreshments will be served!
