The SUNY New Paltz EOP Summer Bridge Program begins July 5th. This is a residential program. Students will be housed on campus. The program ends on July 27th. This is a mandatory program for EOP admitted first year students. EOP will cover the cost of a one credit class, housing, and meals for each student during the 2024 EOP Summer Bridge Program.

For EOP first year students, admittance into SUNY New Paltz is contingent upon their participation in an EOP specific summer program AND the entire Summer Bridge Program.
Students who feel that they have a conflict with the EOP Summer Bridge Program dates must speak with the EOP Director.

Curfew: weekdays 11:00 p.m. building curfew, 12am room curfew; weekends 12am building curfew.

No. First year students are not allowed to have cars during the EOP Summer Bridge Program or during their first year attending SUNY New Paltz. To protect the safety of our students and staff, there are no visitors allowed in the residence hall during the SUNY New Paltz EOP Summer Bridge Program. Parents or guardians who want to contact their student MUST contact the EOP Office at 845.257.3226 if they wish to drop off items for their student. They are encouraged to mail any items.

No. All your belongings must leave with you when you check out of your residence hall after the EOP SUNY New Paltz Summer Bridge Program.

Yes. All EOP first year students attending the residential EOP Summer Bridge Program will work on and complete a Fall schedule of classes with their assigned EOP Advisor.
Many first year EOP accepted students, who have filled out the appropriate financial documentation, will know their financial aid package before they arrive at the EOP Summer Bridge Program.
If they do not, there will be ample time to receive further direction on how to successfully complete your financial aid to receive your Financial Aid Awards Letter.
The financial Aid Awards Letter is very specific to that student and gives all options necessary to accept the financial aid being offered.
Financial Aid questions will be answered during the EOP Summer Bridge Program. If you would like to receive answers before that time, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Students who are 18 years old and above are welcome to open a checking bank account with Heritage Federal Credit Union. To open a bank account students will need to present the following:
- Social Security Number
- Valid government ID
A $10.00 minimum balance is required for a Flex checking account.
ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THEFT AND VIOLATIONS OF LOCAL DRUG AND ALCOHOL LAWS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT ANY TIME AND WILL BE CAUSE FOR DISMISSAL FROM THE PROGRAM AND/OR DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE UNIVERSITY AS WELL AS LOCAL LEGAL CHARGES.
