Mary Ellen is responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and business owners throughout the Hudson Valley and New York regions. She works closely with clients and their advisors to develop financial strategies that seek to help clients meet their current needs and plan for their long-term objectives.
Mary Ellen coordinates the appropriate blend of services her clients require based on their unique needs, including investment management, planning, trust, private banking, and family office services. Mary Ellen has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the Wilmington Trust team, she served as a senior portfolio manager and New York regional leader with Berkshire Bank Wealth Management. Previously, she served as a market leader and senior portfolio manager at Key Private Bank and Family Wealth, managing portfolio assets, performing investment research, and providing financial planning services.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from the State University of New York at Albany and earned a certificate in financial planning from the College of Financial Planning. Mary Ellen also received a certificate from the Wharton Executive Education program for completing the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA) program. She is a recipient of the firm’s President’s Council and Chairman’s Club awards, given to top performers in the organization for outstanding sales, client service, and leadership.
Active in her community, Mary Ellen was the recipient of the 2014 United Way Community Service Award and is a founding member of Hope Fund. She currently serves as a board member for BoardStrong and is a member of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council.
