Rebeca Quintanilla is the Senior VP for Global Head of Origination at Context Labs. She is an expert on international energy industry and ESG with over 25 years of 
global experience working within the energy commodities space. Her leadership strength stems from believing in the project, building talented teams, and fostering the vitality of the project’s vision. She is relationship-driven and passionate about building successful partnerships with sustainable growth potential.
Prior to joining Context Labs, Quintanilla worked on a block chain-based start-up company designed to revolutionize global commodities trade. The idea of the start-up was to democratize international trade so that anyone who needs to sell or buy can gain access to markets, transportation and back-office processing. For example, a small coffee farmer in Kenya could sell directly to a coffee roaster in New Paltz, N.Y., all from a mobile device and without a middleman.
Ms. Quintanilla previously held the title of director of North American business development for Mercuria Energy Trading, one of the largest independent energy and commodity groups. Prior to joining Mercuria, she held several business development roles at top-tier global trading companies. Her favorite work experience was her 10-year stint at Louis Dreyfus Commodities. The work environment stimulated courage and fostered support for employees to soar to their highest capabilities. She turned that runway into major global commodity-linked financial transactions which launched her career into high gear. As a follow-up, Louis Dreyfus sponsored Ms. Quintanilla to earn her graduate degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She also has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
