The student health records are the property of New York State and are regulated by both the State and the FERPA. These regulations require that your records are kept confidential. The only persons who are allowed to access the information in student health records are the health care professionals at the Health Center who have a need to do so to properly care for students.
Exceptions to this rule exist and include: Records can be released pursuant to a legally executed subpoena. Immunization records can be copied and sent to students on request or to a facility of their choice. Students may request their health information be forwarded to a specified off-campus health care provider.
