Institute for Disaster Mental Health staff members have extensive expertise developing and delivering trainings on diverse topics. Our audiences can include not only mental health professionals, but also first responders and emergency response professionals, public health and healthcare workers, members of the public, corporate personnel, and anyone else who needs to be informed about the impact of disasters. Our focus is on translational research which communicates best practices to an audience that will need to apply material in the field. We strive to make our trainings evidence-based and engaging, and to build practical skills as well as educating the audience. We can adapt existing materials to any new audience or training format, and we can create custom trainings.
