Twelve New Paltz faculty have won Fulbright awards since 1980. Last year, New Paltz faculty received over $3.7 million in research and sponsored program grants from agencies such as National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, NASA, and the New York State Education Department. Seven New Paltz faculty members have earned recognition as Distinguished Professor, one of the highest honors given by the state university system.
