Terilee Edwards-Hewitt (Psychology) published a new academic article titled "The Contrabands and Freedmen Cemetery Memorial of Alexandria, Virginia: A remembered, forgotten, and re-remembered memory site; Journal of American Culture September 2024." This summer she was selected as one of twenty participants for the 2024 NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities) Summer Institute Towards a Peoples History of Landscape: Black and Indigenous History; in Richmond, Virginia. Terilee teaches anthropology at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, and at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
