Anne Fiorentino Pflug (Art Education) has recently published a travelogue and a memoir, Return to Malta. The book is a compilation of several trips she had taken back to the land of her birth. While visiting friends, she recorded her experiences in Malta, not only from her point of view as a native but also as if she was seeing the country again for the first time. Anne is retired from the Greenville, NY school district where she served as a High School Art Teacher and a Department Chair.
Ellen Brief (Art History) showed a collection of her recent collage work at the Meeting Room Gallery at the Katonah Village Library in September 2024. The 21 collages range in scale, and are comprised from original handmade paper, watercolors and from mono-prints created at the Woman's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY.
Dr. Conrad Fischer (Biology) is happy to announce that the guy from the "little state school" is the executive director of the film nominated for Best Documentary Short film for "Stranger at the Gate", a story of disarming and healing a mass murderer. Dr. Fischer has also been promoted to Professor of Medicine at Touro College of Medicine, which is now the largest private medical school system in the United States.
