The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art invites families to explore art together through our Family Day programs! Designed for children and their caregivers, these special events feature hands-on activities, artist-led workshops, and interactive discussions inspired by our current exhibitions.

Sunday, March 30, 2 PM
Explore the power of movement in art! Join exhibiting artist Suprina for an engaging, hands-on making activity inspired by Hudson Valley Artists: Movement.

Sunday, April 20, 2 PM
Experience art through storytelling and creation. Join artist Norm Magnusson for a hands-on workshop exploring themes from Landmines.

Global Connections Panel Discussion: Exhibition catalog contributors Morgan Parker, Margo Machida, and Christian Crouch, along with Art Historian Patricia Hills, join guest curator Tom Wolf to discuss the shared interests and distinct characteristics of mid-Century artists Isami Doi, Aaron Douglas, Miguel Covarrubias, and Winold Reiss. SUNY New Paltz Art History Students Emily Himes and Ciera Browne will engage the panelists and audience in a Q&A.
