Wish You Were Here
"Wish You Were Here" by Amelia Toelke will be a sculpture combining elements of nameplate jewelry, signage, and sentimental language to reflect and celebrate the broad and diverse nature of identity. The piece draws on the familiar text of vacation postcards to commemorate students' time on campus and capture a spirit of joy and camaraderie. The text within the sculpture invites the SUNY New Paltz community to reflect on their experiences here and consider the people with whom they wish they could share the experience or have by their side.

Nuria
"Nuria" by Mark Gibian is a wind-powered kinetic sculpture created in 1986, standing at 14 feet tall and made of wood and galvanized steel. This artwork engages with themes of motion, balance, and the interplay between industrial and organic materials. As a potential addition to the SUNY New Paltz campus, Nuria invites viewers to experience the invisible power of the wind through its continuous movement.
