Ronald Law ’74 (Political Science) is a resident of Bronx, New York, who has held a number of roles in public affairs and government relations over the course of a distinguished career. He most recently served for more than a decade as Director of Intergovernmental Relations at MetroPlus Health Plan. A decorated SUNY New Paltz alumnus whose journey with the College began in 1970, Law has held roles on both the College Council and the SUNY New Paltz Foundation. He is a 1980 recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Achievement Award, was the 2018 Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Alumnus of Distinction and was honored by the College’s First World Alumni Association for Excellence and Achievement in Public Affairs, among many other accolades. Always a strong supporter of development at the College, Law more recently played an instrumental role in securing $65,000 in scholarship funding for engineering students.
