Christine DeBiase is EVP, Chief Legal Officer, and General Counsel. She leads Allstate's Law & Regulation team and serves on the Operating, Risk, and Return Committees.
Christine has deep insurance and regulatory experience and a reputation as a champion for advancing equity and creating opportunities for people to share diverse perspectives. She previously led legal, compliance, corporate governance, and sustainability at Brighthouse Financial. Christine spent 20 years at MetLife and was the lead attorney for the spinoff of Brighthouse Financial. Her positions at MetLife included corporate counsel, head of regulatory affairs, senior vice president, and general counsel of Americas Legal.
She earned a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and a bachelor's in communications from State University of New York at New Paltz.
Christine is a former college athlete and avid supporter of college athletics. She is a member of the board for PowerPlay NYC, an organization that teaches girls leadership, life skills, and healthy habits through sports. Christine is also a member of the Foundation Board for the National Junior College Athletic.
