“I am deeply honored and grateful to receive this award and want to thank the Alumni Committee. I would also like to thank my many mentors, colleagues, family, and those who have paved the way before me; all have contributed to the opportunities I have had along the way. Their belief and trust in me have been a tremendous source of encouragement and strength. Reflecting on almost four decades since my time at New Paltz, I am reminded of the invaluable foundation my time here afforded me. It was truly the place where I learned the value of relationships, teamwork, and consideration of the world around me. The lifelong friendships formed here continue to bring great joy and fulfillment to my life and are always a reminder of our time together here in New Paltz. This award means so many things to me, but at the top of that list is gratitude, thanks to the many people who have provided opportunities and inspiration in my life. I am proud to be an alumna of the great University at New Paltz and will continue to support those just starting their journey towards a profession they love.”

“Congratulations to the other recipients and thank you again.”
