4. Can I transfer to the New Paltz School of Business? How?
New Paltz accepts many transfers to its undergraduate programs. Many come with completed associate's degrees while others come from four-year schools with an assortment of credits. Students must complete an undergraduate admissions application and note that you are a transfer student and include official copies of transcripts from all schools attended.

If transferring from one of our nearby community colleges, please view our transfer articulation tables. For more details about overall transfer issues, view information on our Undergraduate Admissions site.

5. How do I find the prerequisites to a course?
Prerequisites can be found at the end of each course description.

6. What does my GPA have to be to make it on the Dean's list?
Undergraduate students who obtain a GPA of 3.33 or higher, and MBA students who have a GPA of 3.8 or higher will be on the Dean's list. For more specific information, view the Undergraduate Catalog.

7. When does registration start?
Registration times differ for matriculated and non-matriculated students. Only matriculated students are allowed to participate in advanced registration. Times of registration are assigned to students based on the number of credits each student has completed. Students nearing degree completion will register first so they can be ensured a space in a course to enable them to graduate on time. As an extra service to our students, the School of Business begins early registration one week earlier than the campus-advanced registration. These times are noted in the School of Business Building and can also be found by calling the main office at 845-257-2930.

Summer and fall registration typically takes place in early April and registration for spring takes place in November.

For campuswide dates, please view the academic calendar.

8. When are finals?
A specific final exam schedule exists each semester for all university courses and it can be viewed on the university website. Students should always confirm with their instructor where and when their final exam will take place.
