Kymyona Burk, Ed. D., who recently joined the Science of Reading Center at SUNY New Paltz as Visiting Senior Fellow, will present a public talk on Wednesday, Nov. 20, about equity, access and opportunity in literacy education.
Burk’s address, titled “The Science of Reading as a Catalyst for Change,” will begin at 4:15 p.m. in Lecture Center 102 on the SUNY New Paltz campus.
The event is designed for a broad audience of education professionals, including classroom teachers, ELA and reading education specialists and school and district administrators.
New Paltz School of Education students and faculty are cordially invited to attend as well.
