The Student Association is the governing body of the student population at SUNY New Paltz.
The Student Association (SA) at SUNY New Paltz is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, and the governing body of the student population on campus. SA helps to represent all SUNY New Paltz students, undergraduate and grad, and works hand in hand with the administration to ensure that student voices are heard. SA members sit on various university-wide committees and help with oversight of all of the fee-funded clubs and organizations on campus.
The Student Association of SUNY New Paltz, Inc. is an inclusive organization of student clubs whose memberships are open to all activity fee paying SUNY New Paltz students.

The Student Association Executive Board is voted in yearly by the student body via a formal election process. Elected board members serve various areas within their respective roles.
