Our Mission

The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is dedicated to educating SUNY New Paltz students about the conduct process and community standards while ensuring due process and fundamental fairness to all students, organizations and the university community.  Through our processes we hope to support both the individual student and the SUNY New Paltz Community as a whole.  

Outcomes:

Students who participate in the conduct process will:

  • Report a clearer understanding of policies, along with their rights and responsibilities
  • Identify resources that can aid them throughout the conduct process and their time at the University
  • Understand how their choices can impact the others, the campus and local community
  • Engage is a conduct process per the rights afforded to them as listed in the Student Handbook
