Damali Peterman is the CEO and founder of the prominent global conflict resolution firm, Breakthrough ADR. Breakthrough specializes in innovative and engaging ways to help individuals, companies, government agencies and educational institutions prevent, manage, and resolve conflict in the workplace and beyond. As an attorney, mediator, and educator, with over 20 years’ experience, Peterman saw a need to teach people how to listen, negotiate and resolve everyday situations. She has traveled the globe servicing organizations such as the World Bank, Howard University, and the New York Police Department with tailored workshops aimed at increasing overall company efficiency and talent retention.
Globally recognized as a conflict resolution expert, Peterman has been featured on Forbes, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, Cheddar News, Fast Company, In Touch Weekly, MadameNoire, CEOWorld, The Knot, The New York Post, and more. Peterman’s podcast, Breakthrough Barriers with Damali is popular on six continents and listened to in over 50 countries. She is also a mediator, arbitrator and ombudsman with the prestigious global alternative dispute resolution firm, JAMS. She serves on the President’s Leadership Council of Search for Common Ground, the largest dedicated peacebuilding organization. When Peterman is not focused on building a worldwide community of conflict resolvers, she devotes her free time writing, doing improv, and finding ways to make her husband and two sons laugh.
