Jayapreetha (Preetha) Natesan is a manager of software performance for IBM Z, and co-chair for MHV Technical Vitality Affiliate. She is also a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, an action-oriented community of IBM's leading thinkers and problem solvers that provide cross industry technical leadership linking IBM technical communities worldwide. Natesan has 21 years of experience in the IT and supply chain industry. She has been in both technical and management roles at IBM, with a unique blend of hardware and software knowledge, and has handled numerous complex projects across multiple platforms and products. Preetha is currently a manager of IBM Z Software Performance Analysts. Her team works in AI, Cloud, SAP, and z/OS projects. Natesan is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology; she is also the co-chair of the IBM Mid-Hudson Valley Technical Vitality affiliate and a mentor to P-Tech Students - a global education model that offers students all over the world the opportunity to develop skills and competencies that will translate directly to competitive careers.
Natesan graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2004 with a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering. She also has a master’s degree in physics from Osmania University and completed an accelerated Executive Leadership program from Cornell University. Preetha co-founded a student organization, New Paltz Indian Student Association (NISA) while at the University. Natesan is a passionate inventor with seven issued U.S. patents and an additional five disclosures which are under evaluation. In 2015, she received the Technology All- Star award from Women of Color STEM Conference.
