Sarah Heitmeyer Ceramics

Sarah Heitmeyer is a ceramic artist specializing in decorative wall tiles. Her current work is based in emulating a calming, beautiful moment for viewers. She exhibits her work nationally and works in her studio in Fishkill, N.Y. She also teaches Computer Aided Design at SUNY New Paltz. Heitmeyer received national recognition through an emerging artist award from the National Council on Education of the Ceramic Arts in 2019. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree at SUNY New Paltz and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Alfred University in 2010.
She completed a post-baccalaureate program at Colorado State University and has participated in numerous residencies and internships across the US. She has worked for ceramic studios such as KleinReid, Kala Stein Design, ModCraft Tile, as well as in digital design and fabrication labs such as the Hudson Valley Additive Manufacturing Center and Polich Tallix.
