Alexandra (Alex) Winters began her career at Verizon, managing large customer service teams. Through her time and leadership with the organization, she became an expert in coaching to performance and driving high levels of service excellence.
Winters joined Nuvance Health in the patient experience area in 2017. Alex was promoted to director of patient experience in 2019, and then to assistant vice president in 2022. In her current role, Winters is responsible for the execution and oversite of all patient experience and strategies and initiatives. Her role focuses heavily on communication coaching, therapeutic professional relationship building, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Winters graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in organization and political communication. She then earned a master’s degree from Northeastern University in corporate and organizational communication with a concentration in leadership. Winters has lived in the Hudson Valley for her entire adult life and is inspired by the ability to impact the personalization and quality of healthcare her community receives.
