Assistant Principal
Flushing International High School
Rosmery Milczewski arrived in the US from her homeland, Colombia, in December 2000, at the age of 16. She graduated high school and became the first in her family to go to college. Milczewski graduated from SUNY New Paltz in the year 2008 where she received her Bachelor of Science in math secondary education. Milczewski was hired by Flushing International High School in Queens, New York, and after nine years of teaching math to various grades, Milczewski became an assistant principal in 2018.
Milczewski is very loyal to her work as an educator because as she states, "It gives me opportunities to highlight the beauty of learning, and the importance of community as I learn from the experiences and cultures of the students my school serves, and it also gives me the opportunity to provide my students with the support I was given when I first arrived to the United States."
