Sheena Henry graduated in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics. Shortly after graduating, she started working at a pharmaceutical company in a fast-paced chemistry lab supporting the manufacturing of drug substances to ensure products meet applicable standards for purity and characterization. Currently, Henry manages the quality control chemistry lab that performs HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) testing to support the release of commercial products. She is involved with lab investigations and supporting audits from various agencies. During her time at SUNY New Paltz, she participated in undergraduate research and has found her time spent in the lab as a student was an invaluable resource to starting a career in quality control.
