Sofia B. Pertuz Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, ACC, is a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professional and International Coaching Federation-certified executive coach with over 25 years of experience serving higher education, nonprofit and corporate organizations. Pertuz is the managing director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Billie Jean King Enterprises and is also the founder of Mainstream Insight LLC, leading organizations towards inclusive excellence. Pertuz is a senior advisor for The Jed Foundation (JED), a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for young people. She previously served as JED’s chief diversity and inclusion officer.
Pertuz has been an invited speaker for international audiences on topics in leadership, social justice, mental health, Latinx/Hispanic identity, and LGBTQ+ advocacy, delivering keynotes in both English and Spanish. Pertuz received her bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from State University of New York at New Paltz and earned her master’s and Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University. Pertuz is a senior certified professional by the Society of Human Resource Management.
