Active International
Alaina is the senior vice president of local media at Active International, where she launched her career in 2006 after graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in media management. She has held multiple roles of increasing responsibility over the years, excelling in negotiating media schedules with TV and radio stations, managing client campaigns, and most recently, spearheading business initiatives at Active. Currently, Alaina leads a dynamic team of over 50 media professionals in Active's Local Media department. Her role involves close collaboration with internal and external partners to craft strategic solutions, steering Active's clients through the ever-evolving video and audio landscape.
Alaina is committed to mentorship, evident in her dedication to developing junior team members through a robust training program for future media buyers at Active. It has also extended to recent opportunities in supporting students at SUNY New Paltz including being part of this year’s Digital Media & Journalism Alumni panel, presenting to the Career and Internship Prep classes, and hosting students at Active’s New York City office for a “media day” showcasing career opportunities within the company.
