Program Associate
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Emily Harr ’18 is a museum worker and disability justice advocate with eight years of experience in art museums. She currently works as a program associate, accessibility as part of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s education department. She develops programming for people with disabilities, acts as an accessibility consultant and trainer across Museum departments, and fosters the inclusion and representation of people with disabilities in all aspects of the Museum.
Harr graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2018 with a double major in art history and public relations. During her time in New Paltz, she worked as a gallery assistant at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art. She served as president of student organization React to Film, while being an active member of both the Art History Association and Museum Ambassadors. She now lives in Brooklyn, New York where she spends her free time crafting, reading, and spending time with her dog.
