Lucy Walker has over 25 years of experience in higher education, building a diverse and impactful career. She currently serves as the assistant vice president for Institutional Research at SUNY New Paltz, where she plays a key role in helping the campus utilize data to enhance institutional effectiveness. Walker began her career as a programmer in IT creating technology solutions for improving business processes and helping users feel comfortable around technology. She then transitioned to Institutional Research, where she honed her analytical skills and developed a comprehensive understanding of the college campus. She serves on the campus Strategic Planning and Assessment Committee and the General Education Board. Walker believes in the value of using data and technology to support the mission of the institution. She holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University at Albany and a Master of Science in computer science from SUNY New Paltz.
