Want to know what all this 3D printing talk is about? This class will serve as an introduction to the 3D printing processes with a focus on the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) method of printing. You will get an overview of the various 3D print processes (FDM, SLA, SLS) and an in depth discussion of FDM, its strengths, and weaknesses. You will learn about the major file formats, where to locate files, and how to set up files in Makerbot Desktop for submission to the Innovation Center Array. (Registration required)
