January 2022: Event Recaps: Music Major for a Day
Assistant Professor Adam Fontana coordinated the Department of Music’s first “Music Major for a Day” open house event on Nov. 12. Local high school seniors and juniors and prospective transfer students were invited to spend a day with music department faculty and students to experience a day in life of a music student.
Fifteen students from schools around the Hudson Valley attended classes in music theory and music therapy, participated in an improvisation workshop and ensemble masterclass, interacted with current music majors and faculty, and learned more about our programs of study.
