Kids on Campus

NOTE: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Ulster County Department of Health and Mental Health (DOH) will not be issuing permits for summer camps until further notice. While camps administrated through SUNY New Paltz do not require permits to operate, the College intends to follow the DOH guidance. At this time, registration for summer camps is suspedend, pending further guidance from the DOH. 

Please check back for updates throughout the spring and summer.



SUNY New Paltz offers camps, clinics and workshops for children of all ages and ability levels in many different areas of interest, including the arts, STEM, writing, and athletics. Join the hundreds of families who have already discovered the fantastic opportunities for learning, growth and play on campus this summer!

SUNY New Paltz adheres to Child Protection Policy Standards when children under the age of 17 are in the care and custody of SUNY New Paltz faculty, staff and students. You may review the policy here.

For children who are in need of remedial literacy support.

Literacy Center Summer Program
Capacity: 50

The Literacy Tutoring Program provides individual and small group help to children needing improvement with these skills. 

Dates are as follows:

7/6 to 7/9; 7/13 to 7/16; 7/20 to 7/23; 7/27 & 7/28

Times**

There is an AM session from 8:45 AM to 10:45 AM.

There is a PM session from 1:45 PM to 3:45 PM.

Children attend either the AM or PM session, not both.

The Summer Theatre Workshop provides participants with an immersive experience in the theatre arts. Each day is spent on acting, singing and dancing/movement, improv and musical theatre performance. Professional Industry Guests from NYC will visit throughout the week to lend their experiences and talent to the program. The high school group will work at an even higher level and spend time focusing on audition technique as well as college program prep.
