Katie Gudzik, 2022 Theatre Arts

In November Katie, for her Honors Thesis, produced, directed, and music-directed a zero-waste production of the musical version of A Year With Frog & Toad (based on the popular children's book) with numerous Theatre Arts majors. Katie incorporated ASL for a number of the songs.  It was a huge success on campus.  An Assistant Principal at Overlook Primary School in Poughkeepsie saw the production reached out to the Theatre Arts Department and asked if it was possible to bring the show to Overlook.
With support from both the Theatre Arts Department and the F&PA Dean's Office, the cast and crew of A Year With Frog and Toad performed for over 400 elementary school students on May 3.
