Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
New York State employees may qualify to participate in the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program forgives the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments are made under an accepted repayment plan and while working full-time for an eligible employer. New York State is an eligible employer.
