Duties: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz seeks candidates for the position of Freshmen Admission Advisor. This is a full-time 12-month position that will report directly to the Director of Undergraduate Admission.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
• Recruitment Travel – travel will include but not be limited to Nassau and Suffolk Counties in New York State
• Application Reading and decision making
• College transcript, AP and IB credit evaluations
• High School Transcript finalizations
• General Information Session Presentations
• Communicate with prospective students and their families
• Participate in Undergraduate Admission events – i.e. Open House and Accepted Student Open House, Weekend General Information Sessions
• General office duties
Qualifications: Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to work evenings and some weekends
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree
• 1-2 years of applicable job experience in university admissions
