Planned Giving

lyndaIt took Lynda Schwab-Edmundson ’78 (Elementary Education N-6; Sociology) ’82g (Early Childhood Education) 18 years of perseverance to complete her degree from SUNY New Paltz. There were times when she wanted to stop, but she continued because it was affordable and within her reach.

Today, she sees how expensive college has become and wants to help high-achieving students finish their degrees. By establishing an endowment through a bequest intention in her will, she will provide support for students pursuing degrees in early childhood and childhood education.

Schwab-Edmundson says “It’s been a great privilege and reward to work with children and families here in the Hudson Valley. Perhaps through this endowment, I can help excellent teachers launch their careers. These teachers will inspire and engage future generations of young children.”
